MOTION
Upon recommendation of Debra Pospiech, General Counsel of the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit (“the BOWC”), the BOWC authorizes the Director to enter into a Water Main Easement Agreement with Lexington Village, a limited dividend housing association limited partnership, with an address of 1118 S. Washington, Lansing, Michigan 48910, and Henry Ford Health Systems, a Michigan nonprofit corporation, with an address of 1 Ford Place, Suite 4A, Detroit, Michigan 48202, to allow for a 10 foot easement for access to operate, maintain, reconstruct or repair improvements on an underground water main and underground and surface appurtenances and facilities with respect to such water main, and also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
JUSTIFICATION
DWSD routinely enters into easement agreements to install and maintain its infrastructure and access to such infrastructure.
BACKGROUND
DWSD desires to enter into an Easement Agreement with the Lexington Village and Henry Ford Health Systems over and across certain real property (Parcel ID 06001624-43). Recently, Henry Ford installed a new water main and underground equipment and appurtenances for water main facilities under and across Parcel ID 06001624-43. DWSD will take ownership of this asset and seeks this permanent easement to maintain the asset in the future. All supporting documentation is attached for review.
