MOTION
Upon recommendation of Marqaicha Welch, Procurement Manager, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to approve DWSD Contract No. 6004770 with Feldman Ford, LLC to purchase three 2023 Ford F350 4x4 pickup trucks for a total contract not-to-exceed amount of $222,380. This also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND / JUSTIFICATION
The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) Fleet Operations have requested the purchase of the three 2023 Ford F350 4x4 standard cab pickup trucks with an 8’ bed, to replace units found to be unrepairable due to age and cost of the repairs which will be greater than the value of units.
PROCUREMENT METHOD
This contract was competitively solicited per RFB #493546-2 on July 22, 2022, with a closing date of August 19, 2022, through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network website for 29 calendar days. The RFB was solicited to 161 suppliers, 10 suppliers viewed the bid package which generated 1 statement of no bid from Bob Maxey Ford, Inc. and 1 responsive, responsible bidder, Feldman Ford, LLC.

Due to the low number of bids received, an additional statement of no bid was requested from two of the 10 vendors Knapheide Trucks and NBC Trucks that reviewed the bid package, however, no response was returned.
Feldman Ford, LLC clearances expire 10/13/22 and a formal contract document is not required.
