MOTION

Upon recommendation and opinion of Scott MacGriff, Chief General Counsel, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department vote to approve a meeting with legal counsel in closed session, pursuant to Section 8(h) of the Michigan Open Meetings Act to discuss the content of an attorney client privileged memorandum.

 

JUSTIFICATION

A meeting in closed session is requested to discuss the above-mentioned matter. Section 8(h) of the Michigan Open Meetings Act allows a public body to meet in closed session: “To consider material exempt from discussion or disclosure by state or federal statute” As a result, General Counsel requests an opportunity to meet with you in closed session regarding the above captioned case.
