RE: New Contract No. 6002159 for Parallel Network Project Phase 2 for 1-Year

MOTION
Upon recommendations of Mamata Burgi, Procurement Manager, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to enter into new Contract Purchase Agreement No. 6002159 for 1-year for Parallel Network Project Phase 2 with Groundwork0 LLC for an amount not to exceed $250,000.00, and also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

BACKGROUND
On January 1, 2016, DWSD and GLWA began the process of bifurcating the two organizations. The timeline to complete this process is five years beginning on January 1st, 2016 and ending on December 31st, 2020. As part of this process DWSD is building a new internal network using the City of Detroit standard. This new network will allow DWSD and the City of Detroit to work more closely together.

DWSD began the planning of this new network in the fall of 2016 with the first purchase to be completed in summer of 2018. Phase 1 was bid out using RFBIT2018 in March of 2018. The hardware was purchased in spring of 20...
