MOTION
Upon recommendation of Marqaicha Welch, Procurement Manager, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to approve DWSD Contract No. 6005683 with Somat Engineering, Inc. for As-Needed Engineering Services for a total contact amount not-to-exceed $1,500,000.00 for a term of three years. This also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND / JUSTIFICATION
The Permits and Stormwater Management Group (PSMG) consists of: Permitting, Compliance Engineering and Drainage Engineering Groups. PSMG is responsible for engineering review and issuance of water and sewer service permits to: City of Detroit property owners, post construction stormwater management ordinance compliance, EGLE MS4 permit compliance and NPDES regulatory compliance requirements by implementing drainage charge and green credit programs, and other work related to permits, stormwater, and drainage functions of the group.
