(JV); for Hydrant and Repair of Water Mains (WS-745), for a total contract amount not-to-exceed $8,248,100.00 and a term of three years. This also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

BACKGROUND / JUSTIFICATION

Twice a year, the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) experiences a peak in hydrant repairs due to fire hydrant inspections from the fire department. This contract's primary purpose is to provide emergency as-needed repair for fire hydrants as well as repair of various-sized water mains during high peak season.
