MOTION
Upon recommendation of Marqaicha Welch, Procurement Manager, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department, authorizes the Director to approve DWSD Contract 6008019 with Oracle America, Inc., for Consulting Services to support the upgrade and project implementation for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, for a total contract amount not-to-exceed $1,400,000.00 and a term of 5 years. This also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND & JUSTIFICATION
The DWSD IT Department is requesting a new single source contract for the upgrade and project implementation of new cloud deployment of hardware and software, configuration and upgrade of Oracle OCI environment to add Oracle Database AI version that brings AI to the departments’ data, making it simple to power application development and mission critical workloads with AI.
