RE: Approval and Grant of Easement

MOTION:
Upon recommendation of the General Counsel of the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit ("the BOWC"), the BOWC authorizes the Director to enter into an Easement Agreement with SLR Fairgrounds A Owner, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, with an address of c/o Stockbridge Capital Group, LLC, 4 Embarcadero Center, Suite 3300, San Francisco, California 94111, for the purpose of maintenance and repair of a DWSD water main and also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

BACKGROUND:
This easement relates to a newly constructed water main located at 20250 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48203 (parcel number 01009845.007). DWSD is requesting this easement to secure ingress and egress for the purposes of maintenance and repair of the water main. Attached to this resolution is the proposed easement agreement, with exhibits detailing the easement area and proposed use.

JUSTIFICATION:
DWSD routinely enters into easement agreements to access and maintain its infrastructure. DWSD easement requests are reviewed and approved by DWSD permitting engineers to ensure the integrity of any nearby underlying DWSD assets.
