MOTION
Upon recommendation of Marqaicha Welch, Procurement Manager, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to approve DWSD Contract No. 6008133 with Ferguson Enterprises LLC dba Ferguson Waterworks for the as-needed purchase of various Gate Box Parts, for a total contract amount not-to-exceed $569,989.93 and a term of two years. The BOWC also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND / JUSTIFICATION
DWSD is requesting the purchase and delivery of Gate Box Parts. DWSD warehouses secures, stores and issues various parts and supplies from its inventory, including gate box parts. Gate boxes are similar to curb stop boxes, are access points to gate valves that turn water off and on during repairs.
