RE: Detroit Water and Sewerage Department - Wayne County Department of Public Services Annual Permit

MOTION
Upon recommendation of Samuel Smalley, PE, Deputy Director, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to approve the "Model Community Resolution Authorizing Execution of Wayne County Permits" form to facilitate the acquisition of DWSD's 2025 WCDPS Annual Permit, subject to approval as to form and language by the office of General Counsel, and also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

BACKGROUND
The Wayne County Department of Public Services requires all utilities including, governmental agencies such as DWSD, working in WCDPS's right of way to apply for and secure annual Maintenance (A-25005) and Pavement Restoration (A-25029) permits. WCDPS's right of way permit application previously only required a self-insured letter signed by the Director.
