MOTION

Upon recommendation of Marqaicha Welch, Procurement Manager, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to approve DWSD Contract 6007915 with LGC Global, Inc. and The J.D. Thomas Group (Joint Venture), for Water Shutoff and Restoration Services, for a term of (3) years and a total contract amount not-to-exceed $6,459,873.00. This also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

BACKGROUND / JUSTIFICATION
The purpose of this contract is to provide as-needed trained field service workers to assist DWSD Meter Operations division with water service interruptions, restorations and meter equipment services. The demand for these water services cannot be met with the internal staff, primarily due to the volume of work that exists.
