MOTION
Upon recommendations of Tiffany Jones, Interim Director of Human Resources/Organizational Development and Nikkiya Branch Penson, Deputy General Counsel, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department:
1.) Approves the Collective Bargaining Agreement for 2025 - 2029 between the DWSD and the Utility Workers of America, Local 504; 2.) Authorizes the Director to execute the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
DWSD HR submitted, under separate cover, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the UWUA having a term ending June 30, 2029, for your review. The Union ratified the CBA. As such, we respectfully request that your Honorable Body approve the CBA.
