The Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit Water Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to 1) Approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement 2018-2021 between the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department and AFSCME-Local 2920; and 2) Authorize the Director to execute the Collective Bargaining Agreement 2018-2021 between the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department and AFSCME-Local 2920, and also authorize the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

MOTION
Upon recommendation of Lydia Garnier Barlow Jamison, Director of Human Resources/Organizational Development the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit Water Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to 1) Approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement 2018-2021 between the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department and AFSCME-Local 2920; and 2) Authorize the Director to execute the Collective Bargaining Agreement 2018-2021 between the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department and AFSCME-Local 2920, and also authorize the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
DWSD Human Resources has submitted for your approval the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with AFSCME-Local 2920 (hereinafter "the Union") having a term ending June 30, 2021. This CBA reflects the Agreement reached between DWSD and the AFSCME-Local 2920 bargaining team. The Union ratified the aforementioned CBA on Tuesday February 27, 2018.
