RE: Reallocation of one Executive Management Team position and Associated Funds from Chief Executive Officer to Field Service Operations in Fiscal year 2020-21

MOTION
Upon recommendation of Thomas Naughton, Chief Financial Officer, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department approves the proposed reallocation of one Executive Management position and associated funds from the Chief Executive Officer Budget to Field Service Operations Budget for Fiscal year 2020-21; and further authorizes the Director and Chief Financial Officer to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

WHEREAS In FY20, the Department determined that one Executive Management Team position was performing duties more appropriately assigned and performed within the Field Service Operations Unit. Those duties include management of the restoration process and Miss Dig coordination for both the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department and the Great Lakes Water Authority.
