MOTION
Upon recommendation of Marqaicha Welch, Procurement Manager, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to approve Contract 6005318 with Herc Rentals Inc. rental of one-ton pickup trucks, 1/2 ton pickup trucks, and one-ton cargo vans, utilizing the MiDeal Contract # 071B7700146 for a total contract not-to-exceed amount of $500,000.00 and a term of 6.5 months. This also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.
BACKGROUND / JUSTIFICATION
DWSD Fleet Operations is requesting the rental of one-ton pickup trucks, 1/2 ton pickup trucks, and one-ton cargo vans. The rental of these vehicles will support 45 new hires- Field Service Technicians, that will join DWSD Maintenance and Repair Field Crews.
