MOTION
Upon recommendation of Robert Presnell, Chief Operations Officer, the Board of Water Commissioners for the City of Detroit, Water and Sewerage Department authorizes the Director to enter into Contract, "Capital Improvement and Services Project: Detroit Water and Sewerage Department Building and Facilities" with the Detroit Building Authority (Contractor), at a cost not to exceed $5,000,000.00 for a duration of 1,095 calendar days, and also authorizes the Director to take such other action as may be necessary to accomplish the intent of this vote.

JUSTIFICATION
In an effort to ensure compliance with building codes and to ensure the public health and safety of the employees and citizens as a whole, the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) must begin assessments and construction/maintenance projects at all of the DWSD's buildings and facilities.

Over time, the DWSD has experienced building and facility issues at the following locations:
